Mock Trial and Final Project Presentation Reminders

Today - Mock Trials begin at 11:30 - don't forget please!

Next Wednesday - Final Presentations begin at 11:00 am - this should ensure that you all finish (maybe before 2:45 too.)  Don't forget that I will need a breakdown with a pie chart of your distribution of labour in your group (detailed - who did what) and your individual / group reflections after your performance.  Pie chart and group reflections need to be completed together - I suggest a google doc if you cannot all get together. These may be emailed in if we run out of time today - they are part of your mark trial mark (see the rubric).

***If you have an exam - pick up food and come after your exam is completed.*** 

What to bring on Wednesday for your final presentations:

1. 2 copies of your "presentation speech"  - I need a written version to follow along as you speak and you may use notes or a script.  Just remember - Presentation skills are part of your mark.
2. Ensure your presentation has visuals to use as support.  
3. Bring all process - this looks different for the different types of projects.  Read directions and review the rubrics to ensure you know what you are being assessed on. (Many of you ignored the full instructions and the rubric so your  graphic organizers were not done as well as they should have been).  
4. Textbooks to hand in - they cost a lot!
5. If you did not send in your Pie chart, rubric and individual / group reflections, this would be the time to bring them in - and bring back your mock trial rubric.  I need to finish the assessment and include it this term as one of the big summative assignments.

I will do my best to have the rest of your assignments marked by Wed - this way if you would like to improve on any you will have until Friday to do so.

If you would like space to work or study, you are welcome to come in to my room Monday and Tuesday and Wed morning.

Monday/Tuesday - I will have portfolio conferences with my grade 8s ongoing from 8 am to 1:30.  

Monday - my room will close and I will be unavailable from 1:30 on invigilating provincial exams.  

PS  Yes - I know I let go of the court field trip response / alternate assignment.  Don't worry about it :)
